About DanSTAR
What does it take to build a rocket that can reach 9 kilometers into the sky?
In DTU’s Blue Dot project DanSTAR, students design, build, and launch advanced rocket systems – from initial concept to final launch.
The project integrates mechanics, electronics, software, and logistics in a collaborative, hands-on environment, where students develop complex propulsion systems and complete rockets in-house.
Each year, DanSTAR competes in the European Rocketry Challenge, aiming to reach 9 km altitude with precision and reliability.
The project is part of DTU’s Blue Dot initiatives, where students work hands-on with innovation and solve real-world challenges.
Who can join?
DanSTAR is open to DTU-students from all programmes and levels. Students from other Danish universities are also welcome.
You can take part by attending project courses or by linking the project to your bachelor’s project or your master’s thesis.
