About DTU SensUs
How can we detect disease earlier and provide more precise treatment for patients?
In DTU’s Blue Dot project DTU SensUs, students work on developing advanced biosensors for the future of healthcare. These sensors can, for example, measure biomarkers in the body and thereby enable faster and more personalized treatment.
As part of the project, the team designs, builds, and tests a biosensor that addresses a specific medical challenge. The work spans from idea and analysis to development and validation of a functional prototype.
Each year, DTU SensUs participates in an international student competition, where universities from around the world compete to develop the most innovative and precise biosensor solution.
The project is part of DTU’s Blue Dot initiatives, where students work hands-on with innovation and solve real-world challenges.
Who can join?
DTU SensUs is open to students from across DTU who want to work with health technology, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
What will you gain?
As part of DTU SensUs, you will work with the entire development process – from idea and design to laboratory work and testing of a finished prototype.
You will build competencies in:
- Biomedical technology and biosensors
- Analytical chemistry and microfluidics
- User-driven and iterative design
- Data analysis and experimental methods
- Project management, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration
You will also gain hands-on experience with innovation in an international competition setting and work on solutions that can make a real difference for patients.
